People say there's a shock when you fall in love - like the world stops spinning for just a second, your heart skips a beat, and time freezes.
I've never outright disbelieved these things but nihilistic me always chalked most of it up to being another corny part of attraction. Love at first sight is so often just infatuation, basic social interest, lust, etc. Does something deeper really happen for some people? Kind of a kooky idea.
